My car got broken into about two weeks ago. The passenger window got smashed in and I needed to replace it in a hurry. I got a window out of a junkyard and went to a mechanic to get it put it. He told me that if I had the right car insurance, I could have gotten a brand new window put in at little to no expense, and that it was in fact illegal to not have auto insurance in Maryland. I’d like to get some, but I don’t know any auto insurance companies in Maryland and I don’t know what’s a good deal or not. Can you help me out?

Ellen,
There are a few things you should know about getting and picking the right Maryland auto insurance quote. By Maryland auto insurance law, you’re required to have a minimum of $40,000 coverage for physical injury as well as $15,000 to cover any property damage. As these are the minimums, auto insurance companies in Maryland will at least meet these requirements. It’s actually quite easy to get a quote from any of the over 200 auto insurance companies in Maryland. Just enter Maryland auto insurance in your favorite search engine and browse through your results. There will be forms to fill out or phone numbers to call.
